News,updates and progress reports.

Progress as of October 2009 consists of the manufacture of the main wing spars as well as all of the horizontal stabilizer parts. This includes spars,skins,ribs,hinges,etc. These are all oven cured, Pre-Preg carbon fiber. Currently the fuselage plug is nearing completion with just a little work to go before a mold is made. The next step will be structural design and manufacture of the two fuselage halves. Fuselage plug complete, parting line installed, waiting on epoxy order to complete fuselage mold. Currently in the process of CNC'ing the left and right vertical stabilizer skins.

Plugs for Right/Left vertical stabilizers cut. Plugs for L/R rudder cut. Molds are in process.

Left/Right V-stab and rudder plugs complete. L/R V-stab molds and flange complete. Serial number 001 left stab skin complete.

Left fuselage mold nearing completion, moving on to v-stab parts and right hand fuselage mold.

After a few trial parts to get weight where I need it I now have the prototype V-stab skins done. Currently working on the right hand fuselage mold.

Both sides of the fuselage mold pulled off of plug. Currently working on design and layup of fuselage.

Rudder skin group complete. Currently working on fuselage mold preparing it for layup. Designing a small oven for Fuselage cure.

This shows the plug with all the surfaces coated with release agent, it is now ready for manufacture of mold.

Fuselage plug. At this point we are almost ready to make the mold. In this shot the plug is waiting to go into the mold fixture where the parting line will be installed.
